WESTEROS -- The popular HBO series Game of Thrones has finally come to an end after a drama filled finale. Stars such as Kit Harrington, Emilia Clarke and Peter Dinklage could not be happier. “To be honest, it got to be kind of a drag on my personal life,” said Dinklage. “When people start calling me ‘Tyrion’ and ‘Hand of the King’ instead of Peter around the holidays, well, that’s when you know it's gone too far.”
Dinklage says he plans to start a prosthetics company in his spare time with fellow Thrones actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays the polarizing Jaime Lannister, famous for his golden hand. “Just like in the show, I’m the brains and Nikolaj is the face. We certainly couldn’t attempt such an ambitious project individually, so I think a joint venture where we work hand-in-hand could work beautifully,” said Dinklage.
Many of the stars already have their next projects lined up, such as Sophie Turner, who will portray Jean Grey in the upcoming action movie ‘Dark Phoenix’. Others, such as Maisie Williams, plan on living off their GoT notoriety for the foreseeable future. “Of course I love when people call me Arya. She’s a cold blooded killer and a princess on top of that. Besides, all due respect to my parents, but Arya just sounds better than Maisie,” said Williams. Despite her willingness to keep her name from the show, Maisie is making it clear she did not come eye to eye with the makeup crew, as she posted a new picture on Instagram rocking an entirely new look.
Whatever the future holds for the stars of the critically acclaimed show, the television community tips its hat to the show that has spanned almost 10 years and has spawned countless memes, kickstarted dozens of careers, and helped many students procrastinate.
